The T-Mobile International Bicycle race was held in San Francisco on September 13, 2003. The race is the last stop on the U.S. Pro Cycling Tour season and considered one of the toughest bicycle races in America. Approximately 500,000 spectators attended the race on the streets of San Francisco. The total distance of the race was 109 miles. Dave McGrath-Wagner |

Pictured above and below are the riders climbing the Filmore Street Hill. The crowds were 10 deep in spots to watch this hill on the course. There was a total of approximately 5000 feet of climbing during the race. |
The race was won by Chris Horner of Team Saturn. He continued to race across the finish line not realizing he had finished the race. The motorcycles had to chase him down to signal that he had won the race. The winner crossed in 4 hours, 24 minutes and 33 seconds. Second place went to Mark McCormack, Team Saturn and Third place to Viatcheslav EKIMOV, U.S. Postal. |
