Caribbean Beach Resort | Animal Kingdom | Magic Kingdom | MGM Studios | Epcot Center |
Dennis and I took a brief trip to Florida in January 2007 to see family and an old friend of mine from my Navy Days. A few days into the trip Dennis surprised me with a visit to Walt Disney World Resorts. We made visits to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios and Epcot Center. We stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The resort was really nice with the white sands, warm weather and the heated pool. The hotel room was very close to the bridge that leads you to the resort resturants and shops. A free bus shuttle service was provided the whole time to the four major parks and Downtown Disney. |
The Animal Kingdom was fun and we enjoyed seeing the wild life. We went on the Safari and then watched the Lion King show. The afternoon parade was a lot of fun to watch and Dennis did some video taping with our new camera. |
We went to Restaurant Osaurus located in the Animal Kingdom for our first character breakfast with Donald Duck and his friends. |
There is nothing like visiting the Magic Kingdom. We found that Donald Duck able to be seen more than at Disneyland. Donald Duck is Dennis' favorite character. The characters get out more around the park. We marched in the afternoon in the flag section of Disney's Family Parade. It was a fun filled day that concluded with a charactor dinner at Mickey's Diner. |
The day was started with breakfast at the Crystal Palace with out favorite characters. We are just a couple of big kids. |
The dinner and atmosphere was great at the Contemporary Resort. The night was spent distracted by Mickey & Minney Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto. Mickey showed up with my birthday cake to celebrate my 49th birthday. |
MGM Studios was a lot of fun and we felt right at home in California. The park reminded us of California park which is located next to Disneyland in Anahiem, CA. We took in some good entertainment and a nice dinner at the Si-Fi Drive-in. |
Epcot Center is where you go if you don't want to spend thousands of dollars on a vacation to Paris, France or Rome, Italy. The experience was nice and the rides were great. They have one very good fireworks show too. |
We enjoyed a nice dinner and our famous characters Mickey Mouse, Plutto, Chip and Dale. Pluto was such a clown and put his big nose in my cake. This was our last night out before flying home the next day. |
